Under contract with Alamo Colleges, BMB provided professional engineering and surveying services for the planned improvements along West Villaret Blvd. from SH 16 to Jennifer Road. The improvements consist of drainage improvements including inlets, and an underground stormwater system; a culvert crossing W. Villaret Blvd. to allow for unflooded access; road reconstruction and widening from a ± 30 foot pavement, two lane road without curbs to 68-foot wide, four 11-foot lanes with left turn lanes, and 4-foot bike lanes with curbs and gutters. In addition to the roadway and drainage improvements outlined above, it is expected that utilities along this portion of W. Villaret Blvd. will be relocated or replaced. The utility poles and their corresponding utilities on the south side will be moved to the new Right-of-Way line. Sanitary sewer and water lines will be replaced and adjusted, as necessary.
